Atos Worldline unveils eGo payment application in Europe

eGo advances digital services and payments through a simple touch

Atos core expertise in Hi-Tech Transactional Services, Atos Worldline has introduced its eGo application in Europe which claimed to enable a range of digital services and payments through just touch without requring any cheques, cash and card.

The transaction can be initiated via your skin for secure user authentication, making payments easier, even though the end-user is a young, older or disabled person.

The company said eGo application includes an initial identity verification process and remains under full control of its holder and the transactions are secured by encryption technology with privacy of user information protected.

eGo features an embedded software fitted inside a wearable object such as a belt or watch and can store the user's credentials and access rights for several services like open a hotel door, start a car, provide health information, manage a transaction via one touch.

The wearable eGo device acts like a multi-service enabler containing numerous applications and also passes the credentials securely.

Atos Worldline Innnovation director Denis Faivre said the company's utilises its expertise in the payment sector to optimize all security and transactional aspects in the eGo application.

"EGo compliant objects will recognize your credentials at a touch," Faivre said.

"Nothing can be more natural and simple as a way to interact, and it will simplify the user experience when accessing a host of digital services."
